Busy Week

This week, the students worked hard on the various art projects that compliment our Eric Carle author study.  We read 'The Grouchy Ladybug' 'The Tiny Seed' 'The Rabbit and the Turtle' and 'Brown bear, brown bear, what do you see?'

Thank you to Mr. Markowsky, who came in on Thursday afternoon, to teach the students about being a computer programmer. The students were really excited to see the inside of the computer and to learn about the brain (CPU) of the computer.

Student led conference forms were due today! If your child was away this week, please let me know if you are interested in the scheduled time (20 mins each) either Thursday from 3:30 - 5:00 or Friday from 9:00 - 12:00.  Otherwise, the open house is Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm.

At the same time, our first Reading Fair will be happening in the gym in addition to carnival games (like bingo, cake walk, etc) as well as our Scholastic Book Fair. The Scholastic Book Fair hours is Wed, Feb 19th from 8:30 - 3:00 and Thursday, 8:30 - 8:00 pm. There will be a concession, by the Goode family, so please bring your appetite!
