French 5

The Grade 5's have been learning about French culture through an important Canadian story by Roch Carrier named 'Le Chandail De Hockey' (The Hockey Sweater). They did a wonderful job creating a 'tableaux' (frozen scene) in groups and presenting it to the class as well as dividing the story in 3 ways: beginning, middle and end. They have been busy finishing up their story wheels- in which they explain the main points of the story and create an illustration. You will be able to see these on the Grade 5 bulletin board (across from the sport trophies) by Thursday afternoon :D



Also, they have been practicing the play 'Les Trois Petit Cochons' (The Three Little Pigs) and have been learning the song/dance 'Qui a Peur du Mechant Loup?'
